Chincoteague Pony Penning Week Feature in Horse Illustrated

It’s like getting a wrapped present in the mail when I see an issue of Horse Illustrated in my mailbox containing a story and photos I submitted. I never know which images they will pick and how they will arrange them in the magazine.
When I got to the opening page of my latest story from my experience at the Chincoteague Pony Swim and Auction last summer, it took my breath away! Bravo Horse Illustrated design and editorial team! 👏🏻
I love the white space, which highlights the seemingly endless line of ponies and Saltwater Cowboys traveling along the beach.
It’s such a joy to work with a magazine like Horse Illustrated! While I don’t consider writing my greatest strength, they give me the opportunity to use words and not just images to tell a great story!
