I met Erica Hatfield of Eye Candy Jumpers in the summer of 2018 at a local jumping clinic. I almost didn’t approach her because I’d never seen her before, but something said, “Go say ‘hi’ and give her your card!” so I did. We followed each other on social media for a few months, and as I admired her beautiful horses, she admired my photography, and our love of both drew us together.
I started working for Erica at the end of 2018 as she was just getting into Show Jumping. Her organization has come a long way in the years since and her horses and riders are competing at the highest levels of the sport.
In the time I’ve been working for Erica, we’ve developed not just a great client/photographer relationship during that time but also a fun and meaningful friendship.
Each winter, I fly to Wellington, Florida, to do Equestrian Photography for Eye Candy Jumpers. Erica hosts several exciting events, has horses showing at the Winter Equestrian Festival, and also loves to have photos of daily life around the farm. This year, I stayed 11 days and created over 1000 images she can use for social media content and website content.
Here are some of my favorite images from this year’s trip to Wellington, Florida!
