I never set out to create “Award-Winning Images” but rather to always work hard at my craft and do my best whenever I have a camera in my hands.

But when an organization like American Horse Publications recognizes that hard work and effort, it feels pretty darn good! At this year’s Equine Media Awards banquet, I won First Place for Best Editorial Human-Animal Photograph and Freelance Editorial Photograph, as well as 3rd place for Editorial Photograph.

We don’t give acceptance speeches for these awards, but if we did, I would thank my husband, AHP, my friends, and you, my followers, who have supported and encouraged me for almost two decades as a professional photographer.
